Introduction: Zakat is one of the Islamic orders and one of the branches of religion and it is established for things that humans create with the help of nature. Fulfilling this religious obligation can remove the effects of poverty from the Islamic society and provide better grounds for human growth and excellence. In order to achieve this, this research has been conducted with the aim of identifying the effective factors in promoting the culture of zakat among the people of the society.
Methodology: This research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-causal in nature, and in terms of data collection, it is a survey type. The statistical population of the research includes zakat collectors, zakat agents, and zakat councils in the provinces of West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Golestan, and Sistan. and Balochistan and North Khorasan with a number of approximately 750 people (this community was based on the employer’s announcement). The data collection method was field and the data collection tool is a questionnaire. The first questionnaire is a Delphi questionnaire and the dimensions and components collected from the review of the theoretical foundations were provided to the selected experts for a suitable theoretical consensus. Data analysis has been done using the technique of structural equations and regression tests.
Findings: The results of the survey showed that the effective factors in promoting the culture of zakat among the people of the society include 3 ethical/organizational dimensions (including the components of ethics, work conscience, honesty and truthfulness and coherence and integrity), communication/information (including the components Consensus of local councils, informing people and communication) and values (including the components of strengthening values and norms, comforting and paying attention to the needy, accountability and direction of zakat towards the elimination of deprivation).
Conclusion: operational strategies for promoting the culture of zakat, according to experts, include targeting the collected zakat to remove deprivation, taking into account the principle of trust when collecting zakat, continuous communication with zakat agents and city-level clerics regarding the promotion and promotion of zakat, documented The Secretariat of the Zakat Council is responsible for creating and informing people about the way of spending zakat and employing and increasing the experienced and capable staff for jurisprudential issues.
